ok so my first build and everything was going ok...
came to the big moment..switching power on...
and it switched on! wayhey!....or NOT

Keyboard works but then doesnt work
Cant get into BIOS or anything

My motherboard is MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
It was supplied with this thing called d-bracket 2 which ahs four LEDs on it that shows the computer starting up. From the manual iv figured that it is pausing on the bit called:
Assign resources to all ISA

And it ceases on that. The keyboard doesnt work or anything.

The keyboard is working up until then, if i press it real quick then it switches into post screen but then once the leds hit that combination for resources to ISAs it stops working

it goes through memory testing, the keyboard and processor initialisation then justs tops

plea for help...anyone and everyone....

oh and iv tryed cearing cmos, all the cards and everything is in correct

try taking you cd rom off then see if it boots up. i read a thread with the same problem elsewhere. they unhooked the cd-rom and hey presto it worked.
