planning on new computer

You are right, I apologize, I got confused, cause like say on newegg. You have AM2/AM2+ boards, then you have AM3 boards, then you have AM2/AM3 boards. So I'm assuming there are certain AM2 boards, that cannot support AM3 cpus. The biggest different I can find in AM2+ and AM3 is type of memory supported. Personally for the price, and there really isn't much a difference, i'd just got with the am3 board. Altho granted they say there isn't much performance differences between ddr2 and ddr3, but I could be wrong.
