Pentium M is as new as a Pentium 4 Processor made at the same time. The only difference is that the Pentium M is more efficient on Laptops - in most cases they're the same power.
All processors will play all games - just some won't very well - that isn't down to the type though - thats down to the Speed and Cache.

LK; you are right most Pm have 2mb cache, and i heard a 1.5ghzPm is as efficent as a P4HT 3.00ghz.

Yeah; it helps in Laptops but its not useful in a computer. The cache is useful though, in some instances.
Yeah the Centrino is an awesome processor. Anyone buying a laptop looking to save power while getting lots of performace the M is the best processor around.
The MoblieP4 will still run games faster in a laptop but the centrino isnt far behind. The newer models also have more cache.
