Another quick question.

Since I'm no longer limited by the depth of the case is there a better CPU heatsink I can use? I can post the dimensions when I get back home.

I know that, but per my example lightening didn't even hit the house only probably close and I lost two ethernet ports. However the router is fine. Maybe coincidence it happened at that time.

Lightning does not necessarily need to directly hit your house to induce a electro-static charge to damage electronic parts, tv, your ps2 box

Only the ethernet port was damaged though.

The basic one may be that cheap, but I've seen the higher end versions go for $600+

The CPU heatsink is 2" X 2"

It has a 40MM fan on it. Removed that to get a better photo of the heatsink.

Unfortunately the RAM is very close to the CPU so it limits the heatsink size.

Those "higher end" versions are probably scalpers or idiots trying to make a quick buck

Unfortunately in a brief search the heatsink I currently have is all I could find that is 2" X 2".

I could try the 60mm to 40mm fan adapter I linked earlier and get a good 60mm fan.
