PC Image question

Just curious if this sounds right, I did a full backup of my PC and the size of it is 38GB. I then did a complete image of my PC and the size of it is 24.5GB. Does that sound right that the backup is bigger than the image?

What do you think?

thx

What format did you use to make the images / backups? My guess is the image is compressed somehow which is resulting in a smaller size - and if this is the case, nothing to worry about :)

That sounds completely normal. Whatever application you are using to create the image probably has built in compression functionality. It looks like it is probably set to low or maybe medium compression. If you play around in the settings, you might be able to select a higher level of compression and get your image file(s) a lot smaller.
