there is also a program called roboform that is very good
not sure if it generates passwords though, but it remembers them and automatically fills them in for you

On Macs, you can do it in the "New Password" in the Accounts panel.

yes.
robo form does have a password generator.
and that what I use, because I especially like the automatic login wher you just start the explorer and click on the link you want, and it takes you there, and logs you in.
