Password required when connecting to another computer.

On my network, when I click on a computer to connect to, it give a prompt to type in a username and password. There is no set username or password. I'm trying to connect to that computer, but it won't let me without a username or password! Is there anyway to get rid of this? I need help! The computer I'm trying to connect to runs Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32bit. Help me, please!!!

go to control panel/ administrative tools/ local security policy/ Security options/ Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only

set that to disable, and you will be able to remote desktop without the need for a password

I copied that from where I got the info, but it worked for me in Windows 7.

Check the other computer to see if the file sharing is password protected

Or you could just go to the computer and set a username and password.
