Is anyone into parkour, aka freerunning. If so where do you do it, what can u pull off?

I wanna get into that stuff, so if any1 knows some videos/tutorials that teach the basics, paste some links and that'd be chill!

p.s. i've already checked urbanfreeflow.com, so don't give me that one...

I saw a documentary on this a while back. When you hear about it without seeing it, it sounds kinda boring. When I saw it, I was quite impressed:D

Best way to learn is to experiement.

Your going to get hurt.

and your going to need to be fast, try doing 500 toe lifts a day, that should help you jump higher.

just run and do regular activities with weights on your ankles for awhile then take them off and youll be faster and can jump higher

o yea and YOU ARE GOING TO GET HURT

master the frontflip and your balance skills, then it only becomes a question of fear of heights

You need to practice precision jumping/landing. Try jumping from as high up the stairs as you dare, then go one step higher. Eventually, you'll get to about three quarters of the way up, and you'll have to start rolling on landing. It's a good way of mastering the roll, and getting used to jumping from heights. (assuming your hallway is big enough to roll in!!)

Also, parkour is different from "street stunts". Parkour is about getting from one place to another in a flowing movement, sometimes looking cool on the way, street stunts are just cool!!

Hope that helps!! Good luck!

Oh, and you WILL get hurt!! But keep at it!

A few of my friends do it, but not as much when one of them had a crack up his shin - didn't actually break in half.)

I suck at it though as I wouldn't jump off anything thats high.

that reminds me of one time i was in a hyperactive jumpy sort of mood at an athletics carnival (guess that's a good thing :p) but i had suncreen on my hands still (need suncreen because 6-7 hours in the aussie sun=skin cancer) and i vaulted a fence about 1.3-1.4m tall. my hand slipped and i smashed my shin on top of the fence. think i actually had a minor fracture as i had that "sharp" sort of a feeling you get from a break when you run your fingers across it. still came second to the states fastest hurdler though lol
