p4 fan

i have a p4 3.6 chip and was wondering if this fan was a good buy

I believe the chip is a socket 775 and my case has a ultra 500 watt power supply, does this fan work the same as any other fan or do i need to do anything else to make it work?

Well you donÂ’t have much choice for socket 775 heatsinks i think that would do the job just fine.

Seems to have no special way to install it so it should be like installing a heatsink normally.

Believe it or not but the stock fan's are actually one of the best cooler's for 775 right now,They really haven't been out long enough for them to actually build good after market heatsink's for them yet.

i don't have a stock fan, i work for intel and got this chip for free. The only thing they gave me was the chip so i have to buy a fan online to go with it.
