whats wierd is i am using 3dmark01 and the oc with the core being 410 and mem being 460 scored 4421 and the current oc which is 425 being core and 540 being mem. only scored 4386.. why am i scoring lower on a high oc? btw i have a evga 6200 agp 128mb

Same reason why you can get a lower SuperPI score on a higher overclock.....because that overclock technically isn't stable and can't perform the calculations to 100% of it's abilities. Probably needs more voltage to the GPU Core, but you can't do that without a volt mod and it wouldn't be worth it on that card IMO.

so should i turn down the oc? and how can i tell if it's stable? is there a program?

It's the same thing with me. I had my 6200 PCI-e at 700/719 from 350/550. I started scoring worse. I'd love to find a voltmod for that card because if I can get it that high stable muhahaha! Not very likely however.
