Hi there,

I overclocked my first HD 7850 to 1105MHz GPU (a 245MHz increase) and 5.2GHz effective memory clock (a 400MHz increase) without any problems.

I decided to reset the overclock to base setting and install a second HD 7850 and enable crossfire support.

What I'm curious to know now is if safe to overclock both my HD 7850 to 1105MHz GPU and 5.2GHz effective memory clock. Note that the GPU voltage was set to 1225, power target was 120 and my fan speed was set to 20. should I make adjustments on the cards i.e. GPU voltage, power target, etc

any help or input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

My Build

Videocard: 2x HD 7850 2GB
Processor: i7 950
Mainboard: Asus P6X58D-E
Memory: 8gb
PSU: Corsair CXM 750W

I would toss the new card in by itself and find its clock threshold as much like CPUs, GPUs clock differently as well. If it can match your first card then by all means. You'll need more fan though, as the top card will run about 10 degrees hotter than the bottom.
