This is a very sensitive situation.

My friend is dating a girl, this girl had a previous boyfriend. Her ex boyfriend now hates her, alot. He is a very evil person, he decided, to get back at her, to upload a video of her doing sexually explicit things onto youtube, which has now, thankfully, been removed. Why he had that video, what it was of, and why she did it is not of my concern and i do not wish to have anyone's opinions on that matter, but this girl is just 15 years old. And her boyfriend does not want her ex to get away with this and wish's to ring the police.

What i want answering is, is what he's done actually illegal, publicly sharing, without permission, very explicit video's of an under 18 ? (he himself is also 15).

If your not going to answer maturely, just don't answer - as i said, what there up to is up to them, so i don't want opinions on anything other than the question in hand.

Aslong as he can be arrested for something that will go on his record forever. He musn't get away with it..

It is illegal as it is a explicate image of a minor youtube will have some legal recourse there.

Now as for the legal issues this can bring up I am not in any way shape or form qualified to answer but I would say go to the CAB and get there opinion, but get her parents to go to the police as coming from her boyfriend I doubt they would take this as seriously.

I'm not an attourney, but I believe she could sue on two counts. The first being defimation of him uploading images of her onto youtube. Her parents can also sue him for having sex with a minor.

well he was also a minor too... so does that affect any thing? i'm not too good with this law stuff either. i just try to obey them.

He may be 16, i'll have to find out. Because that would change alot. Thanks guys, it's helped. Hopefully she's not 16 yet, i don't beleive she is.

won't really matter as long as they're both under 18.

1. There might be a minor offense dealing with posting a video without consent.

2. More importantly, it is definitely an offense to post revealing pictures/videos of a minor. As already stated, that would fall under the category of child pornography, which would then allow a lawyer to open up a sexual abuse case by saying that he had bad intentions all along, etc. Depends how far you wanna go, but at the very least, child porn will go on his record. If he's only 16, I doubt he'll get jail time for it, but it will be on his record and he might be forced to attend counseling or something.

i dunno if anything can be done to be honest, they are both underage. And it's partly her fault...she shouldn't be doing anything at the age of 15 that's bad enough to get a youtube ban :|
