Opinion on Religion?

I was just wondering some of your guys's opinion on religion and why you are what you are. For example, how are we to know that the bible wasnt really written by some homeless person on opium 2000 years ago? I know its called blind faith but somtimes i start to have second thoughts that maybe its kindof ignorant to just believe what people tell you to believe with no hard proof. how do we really know what to believe in?
