The colors don't match up with the motherboard, the website manual doesn't have any info and the manual doesn't have info either, so what colors do I plug it in to?

on the motherboard, where all the control interfaces plug in, there should be little writing like "pwr LED" or "reset" or "pwr" and also "HD LED". just plug in to corresponding pins

Alright thanks. I got them all hooked up. When I press the power button, my cpu fan and mother board fan spin for a second and then stop

I took out a screw and now it runs. The only problem I have is that the computer boots, but when it runs the hard drive, it just resets, should I use a unformatted hard drive?

Sounds like you have a short if removing one screw gets it running. It's usually best to do a new build with a fresh drive. If you have XP, you could always just do a repair install instead of reformatting and reinstalling.
