well the problem with that is.... ive tried 2 different cards and they did the same thing. the other card i used works fine in the other computer so time to reinstall windows (which i dread doing) grrr like i said before sometimes it just has to be done

The exact same thing happened to me with me a soundblaster live!. also re-formated the PC and it still dosent work. I just forgot about it and used onboard sound. Would be good to get it working, though, don't think the sound is as good with onboard...
