Vista will last 10+ years. Just look at XP. It's lasted a long time. 7 years or so?

XP lasted about 5 or 6. It came out in 2001.

I always keep mine, come in handy if your messing with an old pc that cant support the newer stuff

I always keep them in case i find some hideous bug with the new version months down the line when im doing my work. Nothing suprises me with Microsoft.
