I want a spotted owl. I am dead serious. If anyone has a spotted owl or knows where to get one that doesn't involve 10 hour treks in the wilderness at night, then I am in. I mean really, how cool is it when you say something to your spotted owl, and he/she contorts his/her head 180 degrees and goes.. WHOOOOO.

If your serious join a local falconry organization an start off with something simple like a Harris Hawk, don't jump into the deep end first. An taking a bird from the wild is considered illegal in most places an your only allowed to own birds that are bread in captivity.

I got a mate who has a harris hawk an thinks there the best bird for some on to start out with.

I thought the spotted owl was on the protected species list. Wouldn't that make it illegal to have one as a pet? And I know wolves cannot be kept as pets in the US.
