Haha, well, looking at the descriptions, he really hasn't had much luck. One drive not working, and an optical drive not working...

So he basically has 2 terrabytes of hard drives he just bought... wow

It did end up going for 500 and odd though. I don't think I would have bought it if it would have just been experimental at that price.

It cost him around £1700 though to build, minus the case (1900 with the case abouts), as that is well too expensive for just a case.
