Older Comp Faster than Old?

It amazes me that my older computer seems snappier and quicker than the new one I replaced it with. The "new" one isn't exactly new either however its from the end of 07 to '08 and it's a Conroe Core2Duo E6400. The older one was from '04 - '05: AMD Athlon 64 3400+ Newcastle. And this just out performs the Core2Duo so far that I've observed.

Well I replaced the original RAM. I used crucial mem to ensure compatibility.

The AMD is 2.4 ghz

Core2Duo is 2.16 ghz

Western Digital IDE drive in the AMD, the Core2DUo has two Seagate Sata

The new one should be faster. Who is the manufacturer of the computer?

Next time, you should buy the memory from newegg. They're a lot cheaper.

You could also have a virus or spyware on that newer computer.
