With respect to infinity, it has differing definitions in physics and math. Your definition within the realm of physics implies that the universe is infinite which Wiki says is "possibly infinite." Clearly the observable universe is finite and I don't give a rat's ass if it's finite or infinite as I'm concerned with what's going on here on earth.

Now here's a question for setishock. NOVA ran a series titled "The Fabric Of The Cosmos" that discussed parallel universes. If our universe is infinite (which I believe it is), does this mean that the parallel universe must be infinite or if our universe is finite, must the parallel universe be finite? Something to think about.

I'm adding this to the thread since we're talking about the universe. Have you heard about the diamond planet?
