Hi. I have a Seagate 200 GB SATA drive that I'm trying to add on as extra storage in non raid to my already there IDE setup. I have a Gigabyte ga k8n ultra 9. Windows won't recognize my sata drive. when I try to install the sata drivers off the disk that came with the mobo, I keep getting "Key.ini not found!" errors, or "Sorry, we don't support this ID. Your ID aren't correctly!!" errors. What drivers do I need, what do I need to do? Any help would be appreciated.

have your tried disk management and import foreign data ?

has the drive been formatted ?

does the drive show up in the bios ?

Disk doesn't appear in BIOS, nor in drive management. But Windows recognizes the disk as an unknown storage controller.

haha, took me long enough but mayor ur sig says redbeardout, hehe im good...

@demagogue how many other drives do u have?

Never mind, guys. Got it fixed. All it took was a Bios update...although I still have an unknown mass storage controller listing in my Hardware manager...according to several identifiers, it's the Silicon Image SATA controller, but no matter how many times I install the driver, it doesn't identify it. Oh well, at least I can access the drive.
