No sound what so ever on my pc

I have no sound coming from my speakers. The connection is in firmly and it even says the sound is on when i click on the volume button. The bar moves up and down that shows the sound is on but it is not. Vista did upgrade itself today

usually i know how to fix this kind of stuff, but i didn't do anything lol

Check the sound properties to make sure nothing is muted and your default playback device is correct.

It is the computer itself says it is producing sounds, but i can't hear it

When making changes, be sure to close down anything that is playing sound. After fiddling around with the settings, restart the app to see if the changes worked.

Maybe the update resulted in an error with the audio driver.
