I just hooked up my new Logitech z-5300e's to my SB Audigy 2 ZS and I've finnaly got time to test out the system on some DVDs. I started watching the Final Fantasy movie and it the sound was very showy and nice, but I noticed there didn't seem to be much surround, and there wasn't any. So I got out the demo disk that came with the audigy and popped that in. I've listened to demos of Lucasfilm THX, DTS Extended Surround, and like 5 other technologies that I can't remember their names since they're so similar. Bottom line is, not a peep comes from the rear speakers in any of these demos. I know they work, because if I set the amp to 2.1 and play music, sound comes from all speakers.
I know they are hooked up correctly to the card. I'm going to make sure I've installed everything for the card, but I'm pretty sure I already did that. Any other ideas?
Also, this is on my older computer, with no good DVD playing software. Know where I can dl some freeware that has DTS/etc decoding? Thanks
