Just for the record, all of our fixes work fine, and are tested.

I help hundreds of people on a daily basis with this type of stuff, and 99% of the time, the fix doesn't work becuase they are running a different version of the game, than the crack is for.

If you get a crack for your game version, it should work just fine.
