Newbie Autorun problems

Hello all I am having trouble getting my autorun to work. When I insert a disk in my drive d: it will not load disk. The only way I can get it to load is if I click on my computer and click on D: drive and then click on setup

There are a number of reasons way autostart won't start. Here are just a few. These are based on Windows XP.

1. CD Writer software. The program shuts off autostart because it might interfer with a recording session. Check user manual on how to turn autostart back on.

2. You turned it off by accident. When a CD was inserted the first couple of times, you might have clicked don't run this type of program again. Open up My computer and right click on the CD drive. There is a tab entitled Autoplay. Find out which is turned off and turn it back on.

3. There is a scratch on the surface on the CD or hair or dust. A CD reads from the center to the edge.

4. And final one that has so many issues are adware, spyware and viruses. You should know the drill on this one.
