That's pretty cool. I hope you didn't buy it just because of 1080p...

Samsung is a really good brand of TV for quality and reliability (from what I have seen, and I see a decent amount of TVs).

Do you have anything to play HD content on it yet (upconverting DVD player or HD satellite/cable receiver)?

i also have a Samsung 43" with DLP, 1080p, and DNIe, and it came with a free samsung HD-DVD player. which, when we got it, was worth more than $500. pretty sweet deal.

so are you using it as a monitor? or just for TV?

i would love to play games on a nice TV, or decent projector...

Not sure but there allready selling Blu Ray DVD's... So I am sure some newer players will support Blu Ray along with normal DVDs??

I thought DLP doesn't have good image quality, with faded looking colours? Still for teh price. You are barely breaking the 42" mark for a good screen in the UK.
