Last night I got a new toy. A Hewlett-Packard 50" Plasma, and I must say that is is NICE. Watched Star Wars Episode III on it last night, and you see so much that you normally wouldn't be able to see.

So far, it seems to be an excellent TV for the price. The color, sharpness, and black levels all seem to be excellent. I haven't had the chance to experiment much with it yet. I'm rather pleased with it. Parents were complaining about a few things, but it's nothing with the TV itself. My parents will always find something to ***** about.

Now, the superbowl will be more super considering before this TV all we had in the family room was a lil' 25" tube TV (it's now mine).

Thanks

1080i = 1920x1080 interlaced
1080p = 1920x1080 progressive

While that TV may ACCEPT a 1080i signal, it is not a 1080 TV. It is 1366x768, so the only signals it can ACTUALLY display are 720p, 720i, 480p and 480i.

If you feed it a 1080i signal, it will deinterlace and scale it down to 768p

I wish people would understand that.
