Well, sorta new to computers. I stopped keeping track of the new technology right when the pentium 4 launched. I've also been offline for about 2 years... so getting back into everything... wow how things have changed.

I'm trying to make a powerful rig now that is also upgradable in the future.

This is a link to my tiger direct wishlist

Does all of this seem like it work together for the best bang/buck combination? Or will it even boot up?

Thanks for all the help!!!

yeah! evrything's changing, specially computers. a lot of reason for changing, ofcourse to make it fast and to apply new technology. but although, if your computer is old, you can still make it fast if you just know how to take care of them. :)

Woah, woah. Before you go spending all that money.

Do you overclock?
What is your screen's native resolution?
What do you need the system for?

Wow, yeah that is an awesome rig. However, if you want more bang for the buck, consider an AMD phenom II 955. It will save you some money, and it beats the i7 in most gaming benchmarks.
