New to computers need help with my router!!!

Ok, so i bought a wired router. How many cables will i need to attach the internet from my computer ihn 1 room to the ocmputer in the other???​

A wired router , right, not wireless.
Do you have a broadband connection ?
there are two types of cables streight through and cross over, you need the streight through type. Each pc will need a cable and a port on the router. There more than likely will be a WAN port on the router , your cable modem, broadband modem will connect to this.

You will need one cable going from the Modem to the router.
You will need another cable going from the router to a computer's Ethernet port.
You will need another cable going from the router to the other computer's ethernet port.

In your case, you need 3 cables.
