New system build

First, its not cheaper as paton showed. I just shopped Newegg since they're easy.
Paton got it down to $966, and it may be possible to go lower.

Second, you want this for gaming (though not intense gaming, granted)
For reference, on OCN's graphic performance list the HD6450 in the Dell is #104, while the HD6950 I suggested is #21 (list).

If you need a monitor/keyboard/mouse that can be figured into the build and it will likely still come out better optimized than the Dell.
We can't read your mind though, you need to tell us what you're going to need.

I'm convinced, I will go with this build. I didn't want to include in the 1k price a monitor. As for the mouse and the keyboard, I already have them (razor).


I will try to find the pieces in Montreal Shops first. There is a fee varying between 10$ and 30$ per items online.
Would e-bay also be a good place to buy pieces?

Oh gawd no, ebay is expensive.

Currently, ncix, out of BC and Markhem, has $6 shipping over $50 under 100lbs.

I use ncix as the service is top notch, and the price matching. This means you get the cheaper price from othe shops, but evcerything comes from 1 shop.

Shopbot.ca is a great place to search for deals.

I shopped their site a little and prices aren't bad, but selection is limited.

I think paton has the right of it though since the whole build will be >$50 and should be <100lbs, NCIX is the way to go.

Anything 1080p or better lol. I have gamed on 2 Samsungs and a few cheap Asus monitors. Really when you're in the action the only thing you really notice is res and size.

He told me that the graphic card was good even better than the sapphire one (cuz they didnt have the sapphire one)
