I just got a new crucial 240GB SSD. I disconnected my other 2 hard drives and installed windows to ensure all the boot and windows files go to the SSD. I got windows installed but apps like IE and windows media player open then just hang with not responding and I have to force close them. Sometimes when I download a file to install a program when I click the file in the chrome downloads section it says something like cannot find the file. And when I plug my old hdds back in windows won't boot at all.

I am new to ssds can someone help me out

this is the SSD I got FTY

well just an update i downloaded a bad copy of a file and it wasn't opening so theres that issue fixed but the issue of programs just hanging for a few seconds sometimes up to 30 seconds then they zip by. I am running the drive in AHCI mode I heard that is what you are supposed to do with ssds but I googled my problem and I get mixed responses
