i've decided to go with a desktop system to power all this gear. (and by the way its only £200 for the terrabyte drives, i shop around and import alot.)

so i havent pulled out a list of complete specs for cirtain components yet however this is the preliminary build specs for the upcoming desktop (its gunna take some time and im going to sell my laptop in order to help fund it) so yeah im taking some advice here lol

weblinks provided to manufacterers websites for components im set on.

armour for it is the GMC ATX R3 Corona Computer Tower Case Black Colour

perfect for dual graphics cards at x16 if the graphics take 2 slots you loose 1 pci and 1 pci x1 leaving 1 usable pci and 2 usable pci x1 ( need one for the usb card see below)

ram: going to max the motherboards capacity at 8GB (why not? if it can handle it lol)

CPU: intel core 2 duo 2.8ghz or higher depending on how cheaply i can find them

psu: 800W or higher utra quiet modular

cooling: 3x 80mm ultra silent fans + 1x exhaust fan thats quite good actually lol

onboard audio and i have a usb 7.1 sound card that works great. will be using the onboard ethernet for networking as router is on my desk, seems fair play lol.
i think together this should make quite a speedy little system.

any improvement suggestions would be nice! but please, try and keep them helpful.

by the way, i re-arranged my lounge and got a bigger desk so i can use a desktop without worrying bout dust and crap to much.

oh if anyone can recommend a graphics card that will perform better when there is 2 of them being used that have dvi, vga and hdmi thats priced between £30-£50 please lemme know.

and i know i cant use all 3 ports at once, its either dvi+vga or dvi+hdmi and some cases vga + hdmi. i'll only be using one vga + dvi combo and the second card is for a dvi hd monitor and the HDMI to link up with the hd tv for playing blu ray movies. if that makes sence.
