My own personal hell
So I got a Scythe Orochi (SCORC) heatsink from newegg for $36 (open box) and I have a couple questions.

First, it came with thermal grease. Arctic Cooling MX-1. I also have a tube of Arctic silver 5. Which one should I use?

Also, I think I am going to upgrade the fan on it. I'm thinking 2 90cfm 120mm fans that I could rig onto either side. Would this bee enough, and does anyone have any pointers to help me rig them on? It comes with one 140mm fan @500RPM's because the thing is so darn big, but it won't fit in my case with it on.

Thanks. :)

High airflow doesn't do much for that heatsink. Go fanless or low-RPM, high-RPM fans are a waste and just create unnecessary noise when you're using an Orochi.

I thought I remember reading that high CFM fans don't provide that much if an increase in performance on the Orochi.

And I think you quoted me wrong. :D

OK cool.
Would I do better with 2?
I really don't care about noise, as my case has 4 120mm fans and an 80mm fan, plus soon Im gonna get a 4850x2 which is supposed to sound like a velociraptor is tearing through my case.
