New Hardware but trying to use the same HD.

Tried doing this but I'm not sure how to update the drivers for the new hardware so XP will run. Right now it won't do anything but load in safe mode. All the hardware software is on a dvd but I can't run the dvd because I guess the drivers aren't installed.

Any ideas?

You will have to put the XP install CD in, boot into it, then hit R for repair when prompted. This usually works when you change chipsets.

Or you could always just reinstall the OS...

I would say reinstalling the OS would be a better option. That way you'll have a nice fresh install for your new hardware, especially if it's an older install, it will really speed things up for you.
