New hard drive, but which one?

I don't know about other comapanies and how they are, but I like seagate for their warranty. By the time the warranty is over, I hope to have a new computer. They are reliable drives, I would stick with seagate.

Oh, I was divided between Hitachi and Samsung initially, Hitachi because I've had my deskstar for a while now and it hasn't failed me yet (though I guess it being filled up now is a bit of a dissapointment) and Samsung just because of it's reviews and cents per GB. I'll look into Seagate/WD again though, thanks guys for the replies.

Hitachi have very affordable hard drives. My old laptop had a Hitachi in it and it worked great. Some people say that the Hitachi drives are loud. I've noticed WD to have the quietest drives.

Just out of curiosity, if it took you this long to fill a 250GB drive, would a 500 really be worth it?
