Ok, so I was kinda looking into getting/making a new computer, and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions.

I would like to play online games, have it run smoothly.

Where are some good places to get parts?

Do you think I should just buy a computer pre-built?

I would like, in this experience, to learn the more "hard-core" stuff, like how/where to put this, and stuff like that.

Do you think it would be worth-while to have myself build it?

Please tell me everything, even if it's bad.

We'll most likely have cable modem by the time I have the money.

My price range (so ya don't go too crazy :p) is from, well free, to about 1200, I'm willing to go a little higher but not much.

How much did your computers cost?

its very well worth it to build yourself.... its a fun fun experince and youll get the job done right!

Hey, sorry I haven't posted much, cause on my computer at home, I have web restrictions, and I can't view this thread, it SUCKS!

Uh, I'm just wondering what's good to look for in a motherboard, and stuff like that.

I found some places that people have told me about, www.newegg.com are they reliable?

www.cnet.com <-- hven't looked there yet.

Uh... and some others.

Thanks fer jore hulp!!1

i think your in th usa. shame - the best store to get stuff is STAPLES (office stuff).
you are kidding right?
im sure there is an american equivilant to pricerunner.com
or a cheap online retailer.

I have a staples right next to the Wal*Mart.

So that's a good local place to get parts?

I'll have to go in there and chick it out.

Anywhere else that you know of?

Nah staples sucks. You would have to go to a specialty comp store for parts.
