Hi All,

I just assembled a PC with the following components:
Motherboard:ZOTAC NF630I-D-E http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813500012
CPU:Intel Pentium E5200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116072
Memory: CORSAIR TWIN2X4096-6400C5C 4GB PC2-6400 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145241&Tpk=TWIN2X4096-6400C5C
Computer case & PSU: RC-CIX-01 BK Glossy Black Steel Mini-ITX Cube Computer Case, 150W Power Supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147133
HDD: Samsung EcoGreen 500GB
DVD: Pioneer DVD Burner

Blue screen appeared first time when I tried to install OS. Then I set the memory to 667mhz based on my research on Zotac nf630i on Internet. Finally I installed Windows XP SP3 sucessfully. However, when I plugged into a USB filash driver, the system rebooted. Now when I turn on the power, there is nothing shown on my LCD monitor.

What could causes these problems? Could it be the 150W PSU is not enough for driving up an E5200 and Zotac nf630i?

Thanks,

If it's a power issue, your computer would just turn off. Download Memtest and run it. It sounds like a memory issue. I would rrecommend getting a bigger power supply. 150 watts isn't enough for anything new these days. Most graphic cards use more than that on slight load.

Arg. You really need more than 150W to power the system. >.> I would suggest a 400W. Or a 500 incase you buy more harddrives.

150w is no where near what that PC needs to run. Check this out: http://educations.newegg.com/tool/psucalc/index.html

I filled it out with your specs to the best of my knowledge, and it came out to be 279w. In other words, you are going to need a 300w PSU. I personally recommend 400w or more.

Those calculators are a little inaccurate. It calculated my Q9550 system at like 250 watts the other day. My processor alone uses 95W >.>

Someone overclocked E5200 to 3.0g with a 150w PSU. How could he do that?

P.S. Please search "E5200" in this page:

150 Watts!?

As everyone else has already stated, you definitely need more power. A good quality 400-500W should suffice. I run my sig system off a 450W Corsair power supply and my system is also overclocked.

400~500w? I did some research on the customer reviews of several Mini-ITX cases on Neweggs.com. Many of them built their core 2 duo or Pentium E PC with a 150~200w PSU. Their experiences encouraged me to build a Pentium E5200 PC with a Mini-ITX case which has a 150w PSU. Am I missing something here?

I would also say PSU. since you managed to get windows installed, i would think if some other hardware was the issue you could at least get a blue screen of death when it fails. instead of just not showing anything.

could try to flash your bios?
