New Adware? EF.tmp

I recently got a message in the bottom right corner about my computer being infected by spyware/adware. So I shut down all internet activity and checked my processes. I found EF.tmp and deleted it, after that the message went away. Does anyone know more information about this process?

it looks to me be a temporary file... scan your computer and make sure it isn't infected with other files
