Definitely, the 8800GT is the card to get at the moment.

cool, will the 256 one be enough as im only playing it on a 1280 by 1024 and sometimes a 32 hd lcd tv, but thats nearly the same just a slightly different ratio, and all that more gpu ram does is make it better on laregr screens is that correct?

I'm going to wait until the new 8800GTS comes out most likely, to see how much they'll retail for.
They will still be slightly slower than the 8800GTX, but faster than the 8800GT

I'm waiting until there's a card out that can play Crysis well at 1680x1050. Probably the 9800GTX.
