Recently i've been having problems with xbox live, I cant seem to stay in a game without loosing connection. So today i called road runner had them switch out my router with a brand netgear router...but now i lose connection on my pc and 360. After this happens i check my router and the up stream and cable light are off, 1 or 2 minutes later they come back on and i can connect back to the internet and possibly get into a live game. Any ideas whats wrong or what i can do to stop this?

netgear is the worse brand imo i only use linksys thats the best imo

If the cable light on your wireless cable modem is going out then it sounds like a signal issue with the cable company. Make sure your cable line is running off of the first split of your cable feed comming into your home.
You may want to call your cable company to check signal strength although the initial installer of your modem should have done that.
