A recent report from internet/computing news site Netcraft stated that global warming is likely to accelerate, and complete melting of the polar ice caps will have happened at around 2012, rather than the original 2040.
This is a huge shock to everybody, as the world's flood defences aren't going to be ready until 2034. Therefore the world leaders have made a deal with UK building company Multiplex Constructions, who are temporarily suspending the construction of Wembley Stadium to undertake this mammoth task.
The deal is said to be worth around £17 billion.
A UN spokesman said "We have heard a lot about Multiplex. They are reliable and we are sure they will get the job done on time with no delays."
