Hey everyone, i read a comment about a guy askin if Burning CDs would affect your PC.

Well, for some reason, i think it does, at lease my PC it has.
I usually burn cds and dvds on my computer, which i basically have been havin to get it fixed frequently due to burning issues, it either gives me a burning error, and doesn't finish the CD/DVD completely, and end up getting 20 DVDS right off a 50 pack.
I am using the NERO 7, and Nero recode.

I've also noticed, it does affect the PC performance, well at least mine. It just takes alot of time to open a program, and the CPU makes a noice like it's doing a billion things.
However, I don't know what the problem with burning could cause the PC to be getting messed up so quick.
It really stresses me out

What is your system specs?

Which DVD burner are you using? (Brand, speed)?

my computer is a
Compaq Presario
sr1603wm

AMD SEMPRON PROCESSOR
3200+, 1.79 GHz, 768 MB Ram,

LITE-ON SOHW is a 16x speed burner, however, it usually messes up the DVD when I burn at that speed (so I have to burn at 6x, or 8x, in order to burn successfully.

i think slower speeds are much better than quicker speeds when burning DVD Movies as sometimes it may skip chapters and not perform the correct amount of movie on the DVD Disk
