I remember my first PC build, and I wish to pass on some very basic tips.

1. For the love of god go slowly, purposefully slow even. If it takes you 15 minutes to put in a stick of RAM so be it, it's **** of a lot better then being out 200 bucks and having to wait several days for a replacement of whatever you knackered while installing a component.

2. Expect to screw something up - it probably won't happen if you're careful but waiting for replacement parts on a computer like the one you're building is agony - all that power, and only one thing stopping it from working- expect to have to endure said agony.

3. Wave goodbuy to all your disposable income, it will now all go to feed you're addiction to upgrading.
