Hello,

Very soon I will start the work on my first build (just waiting for the Q9450)

I found this PSU;

ABS Tagan BZ Series BZ800 ATX12V / EPS12V 800W Patent Piperock Modular Power Supply 115 - 230V ± 10% tolerance TUV, UL, CE, CB, FCC, Semko, Nemko, Demko, Fimko – Retail $219.99

I love the lights, and I like the idea that new cables can be added/removed. I know it might be a bit price $219, but if I would to know it's a solid PSU I have no problems spending this money.

1st Would 800W be sufficient for my system (future updates & overclocking)? or would u say that I'm better off with 900-1000W?
2nd Can u turn off the light on it???
3rd If in the future I decided to go SLI would I be ok with 800W?
4rd Any big known problems with it? Is it a solid PSU?

Here are my comp specs;

1st CASE = Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 Case OR COOLER MASTER Stacker 830 Evolution RC-830-KKN3-GP
2nd MOBO = DFI LP LT P35 T2R OR GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R OR DFI LANPARTY DK P35-T2RS OR I might wait fore the X48, coz I heard current boards don't have enough FSB for a good @
3rd CPU = Q9450 (45nm)
4th RAM = 4G CORSAIR XMS2 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066. (not sure et, I need to ask around what would be a good ram, I might just go with DDR3)
5th HDD = 2X Western Digital Raptor & one 500G storage HDD
6th VID CARD = 9800 X2 OR I might just get the GT or the GTS and just wait for the new line of chips to come out.
7th PSU = Something with 800W should be enough for me
8th CPU COOLER = Ultra-120 eXtreme OR IFX-14 OR Tuniq Tower
9th OS = Vista 64 bit Ultimate
10th PCI cards = I will have 2 sound cards x-fi pro & razer card.

Thats a very Nice PSU man, but as I told you before its MORE than plenty...

I gave you a link the other day to that OCZ psu that will happily do the job for half the price...

Yes u totally did man, thank you, but I like the idea of being able to remove the extra cables or add. I also do like the lights on it :) silly me.

Anyone know if this PSU has the ability to turn the light on/off?

No problem,

The cable/removal feature is amazing, but you will pay for it...

(me usually more concerned with budget i keep zip ties handy :D )

hmm i would check through some of the reviews or the manufacturers website for the light being able to turn on or off...

I dont have personal XP with that PSU , sorry cheif

Thats an awful lot of money to spend on a power supply......You can find modular power supplies that are cheaper than that. And no, you probably can't turn the lights off. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the lights, find something that is less expensive, but just as good.

I have the Thermaltake Toughpower 750W modular but I've only had it for a few days, so I can't give a good opinion on it yet.
