i have a brand new unformatted maxtor diamond max 16 120 gig hard drive. i plug it in as a single hard drive on my motherboard. My motherboard brand is hp. when i turn on my computer, the hp icon pops up on my screen and it stay the. the hp icon always pops up when you turn on the computer. i checked to see if the hard drive was running, it was. i also checked the IDE cable to make sure they were tight too. i know everything is operational on my mother board. how can i get this hdd to work. i also have a home made computer. PLEaSE HELP ME!
