Recently, I'm experiencing a problem with my laptop. I have a dell latitude e6420 without a battery, It keeps on booting up automatically when plugged then prompts me to set up time&date everytime when plugged. At first i thought it was the failure of Cmos battery, I replaced the cmos battery then configured the bios but no luck so far the problem still coming up again n again. I need help with this and i also need to know if this is worrisome in the future incase more problems might arrive due to this. I hope you guys can help me out with this..

After some Google it seems it could be the clock chip is bad on the board. You can try this, if this doesn't work one can assume that would be the problem.
