Bought a Wii off somebody. They hacked it. I wanted to install Netflix on the wii, but it wouldn't let me unless I updated the wii. The wii was refusing to let me update it. I wiped the memory and restarted the wii. The update actually started working when I tried this time. Then it errored. I turned off the wii and now can't get the wii to load. I get stuck on this screen:

If I go to settings I get this screen:

If I try to do anything else I get nothing out of it.

Not sure how to fix this. I want my wii that I bought working and update so that I can use the wii store.

How do I remove this **** and get the wii back to factory settings?

Go back to the person you bought the wii from and ask them.
If they do not know, look on google or bing.com, there is a specific forum for issues you have.

This being one of those "specific forums", I can see why you were banned..the least you can do is TRY to be helpful.

Ok my first question would be, how did you "wipe the memory", what firmware was it running before and was it IOS hacked? Using custom firmware or just a simple twilight hack with the homebrew channel?

Need a little more detail...could be bricked. But usually this occurs as a result of messing with the internal software and placing custom code. If it was working fine before, I find it hard to presume it's the update ITSELF that's the problem.

What you need to do is save those settings and use a shortcut button to exit back to the system menu...then go into the Wii settings menu and use this guide. Note that to update you should have a stable internet connection and often speed and rate of signal varies which can cause minor glitches etc Resetting a Wii to factory settings - Arqade
