i also have a windows 98 disk which wont boot. Does it have o have a boot flopp disk too?

Yeah, but it wouldn't fit in the connector. But yeah, I'll give you credit. Did you try a difference monitor?

If a pin broke off of the connector it would still fit the connection..

lets take a step back..

Do you have a 2nd video card?
Do you have a 2nd monitor?

If you tried both. then your Motherboard is shot.. Does the computer have an Onboard video? and are you running an external video card?

If so. look on the mother board fora jumper to disable the onboard card.

monitor does work forsure
and the vid card is the only one (no onboard)

I'm thinking your MB might be faulty..

Have you tried pulling all hardware except what you need?

Only if was totally broken off. If it was bent, but still there... no, it would not fit.

Look between the pci slots and get all the numbers you see there and post back. That looks like an old FIC board.

no numbers in sight my good friend. the only ones i can see on the whole thing is on a sticker on the bottom of the black slot under the pci slots...cant read it though the bottom fthe case is in the way
