I'm trying to get the "stereo mix" option to show on my sound properties so I can record audio with some movie clips im making....anyways i have windows 7 and i hear its a problem with vista and 7. so i need to update my onboard sound drivers but heres the problem...i dont know what it is lol...i have an asus motherboard a p5-b deluxe model...for some reason soundmax is in my head for it but im not tooo sure...is there a way i can find out? i tried dxdiag...nothing...i opened her up and looked but didnt see a label or sticker or anything...i would appreciate any help thank you.

Go to ASUS' website, find the page for your motherboard. There should be a drivers category. Alternatively they might have a Drivers section, where you will then need to find your motherboard model.

yea i went there and looked up my p5b deluxe and theres no drivers for vista or windows 7...tried the xp version but the install failed hehe...so now what? thanks thoguh for taking time out to help :)

I went to the Asus site and located a beta version 6.10.X.6585 for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit.

There site won't let me just give you a link so you'll have to navigate to it yourself.

Go to the Asus USA site.
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
Then go to Services / Support
from there go to Downloads.
Select Product - Motherboard, Select Series - Socket775, Select Model - P5B Deluxe
Click Search and then Select Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit and then click Search again
You should find your Driver here :D
