Hi,

Wondering if some of you could help.
I am looking to buying a new computer, and am thinking of getting a laptop to replace my pc.

What I need is a laptop that, when at my desk I can hook up to my large monitor and my wireless keyboard/mouse. And want it to be fairly compact for when i travel so it should have a smallish screen and good battery life.

Also I want it to be fairly future proof without it having to be the very best. I want to be able to play games and do work and watch movies.

So what kind of setup should I go for? I have been looking at the Dell XPS range and wonder if they are good value and if they are powerful enough. Willing to spend around £1000 (maybe more if needed), but also maybe less if can get the job done cheaper :)

If anyone has suggestions for a build, or specific components I should be looking for, be of great help. E.g. which CPU, RAM, Video Card specifically.

Thanks!!
